Nuremberg Albrecht Dürer Airport is the international commercial airport for the city of Nuremberg and the metropolitan region of the same name, and the second largest airport in Bavaria. It was put into operation in 1955 and replaced Nuremberg-Marienberg Airport, which was destroyed in air raids during World War II.
